ABOUT US

COLLEGE COMMITTEES/ CELLS

College plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic, administrative, and cultural framework of higher education institutions. To ensure effective governance and holistic development, the college has established a range of statutory and non-statutory committees. Statutory committees, mandated by governing regulatory bodies such as the University Grants Commission (UGC), National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the Government of Maharashtra etc., focus on compliance, quality assurance, and institutional accountability. Non-statutory committees, on the other hand, are formed by the institution to address specific needs, promote student engagement, and enhance campus life. Together, these committees foster a collaborative environment, ensure transparency, and contribute significantly to the academic and overall excellence of the institution.

Statutory Committees play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning, transparency, and compliance of the institution with regulatory and legal standards. At our college, these committees are constituted as per the guidelines laid down by statutory bodies such as the UGC, NAAC, respective Shivaji University authorities, and state education departments. These committees work collaboratively to uphold academic integrity, foster an inclusive environment, and address key areas like grievance redressal, gender equity, anti-ragging measures, and quality assurance. By adhering to statutory mandates, these committees contribute to the holistic development of students and the institution while maintaining a culture of accountability and excellence.

The following Statutory Committees have been established in the college:

The Non-Statutory Committees play a major role in fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and well-regulated campus environment. These committees, established beyond statutory requirements, are designed to address diverse aspects of academic and administrative functioning. From promoting student welfare and ensuring quality education to organizing extracurricular activities, they serve as platforms for innovation, transparency, and community engagement. By bridging the gap between governance and participation, these committees contribute significantly to the holistic development of students and overall institutional growth.
