Enrichment Programme

We are proud to introduce the ‘Enrichment Programme on Stock Exchange, Securities, and Mutual Funds: Operational Procedures & Practices’. This comprehensive programme is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in financial markets, investment strategies, and the intricacies of trading. Participants will delve into topics such as the mechanics of stock exchanges, the evaluation of securities, and the management of mutual funds. Through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, students will gain valuable insights into the financial sector, preparing them for future endeavors in finance and investment. Join us to navigate the dynamic world of finance and enhance your understanding of the economic forces that shape our global marketplace.

Coordinating Department: Department of Commerce

Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are essential in safeguarding the creations and innovations of individuals and organizations, encompassing areas such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Understanding the operational procedures and best practices associated with IPR is crucial for effectively managing and protecting these assets. Our ‘Enrichment Programme on Intellectual Property Rights: Operational Procedures & Practices’ is designed to provide participants with comprehensive insights into the mechanisms of IPR protection, including the latest tools and strategies for securing intellectual property. This programme aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of IPR, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle intellectual property matters in their future careers.

Coordinating Department: Department of English

In today’s data-driven landscape, proficiency in mathematical and statistical techniques is essential for effective decision-making in industry and business. Our ‘Mathematical & Statistical Techniques for Industry & Business’ course offers a comprehensive curriculum that equips students with the analytical tools necessary to interpret complex data, optimize processes, and drive strategic initiatives. By integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications, this course prepares students to navigate and excel in the dynamic environments of modern commerce.

Coordinating Department: Department of Mathematics

The above enrichment programmes are aimed at achieving the following specific objectives:

  • To inculcate professional skills leading to developing the skilled human resource of high calibre.
  • To impart learner centric training with a focus to overcome the apparently evident mis-match between the conventional curricula and industry required competencies.
  • To foster core competencies to enhance employability/self-employment; catering to the needs of the economy, society and the county as a whole

To strengthen the collaborations with potential employers, industry, business establishments by way of offering apprenticeships, on the job training to be conducted through mutual collaborative arrangements.

  • Successful completion of course clubbed with internship and the job training
  • Attainment of desired level of core competencies in the skills imparted under the specific enrichment programme
  • Acceptance by the industry as the interns and prospective employment
  • Capable of setting his/ her own venture/ firm/ consultancy.
  • Successful completion and certification on evaluation
  • Placement in the relevant field
  • Setting up own enterprise, consultancy, firm etc.

Eligibility:

Any student pursuing graduation irrespective of faculty/ discipline is eligible for these programmes.

Admission Process:

Shortlisting the students on the basis of HSC entry level scores and an aptitude test to be conducted to identify the inclination, desirability immediately after the enrolment for the degree programmes.

Intake Capacity: 25

Content Structure:

  • Module 1: First year
  • Module 2: Second year
  • Module 3: Third year (First Term)
  • Module 4: Third year (Second Term)

Conduct of the Programmes/ Courses:

The programmes/ courses would be conducted with the help of core faculty, experts/ professionals on visiting basis. The coordinating department shall draw up the faculty and experts from the core faculty, partner industry, specialised pool of experts and organise the teaching schedules, plan internship for on the job training.

Students shall undergo the internship and on the job training to be conducted in collaboration with partner industry, business establishments and prospective employers.

Evaluation and Certification:

At the end of completion of each module, there shall be end test; and final test shall be conducted after the completion of the programme during the third year. Students attaining predefined minimum level of competency shall be certified and issued the certificate of successful completion of the programme/ course.

Duration: Four Weeks per Module per year
