COLLEGE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE (CDC)

The College Development Committee (CDC) serves as a vital governing body dedicated to the strategic growth and overall development of the institution. Comprising representatives from the management, faculty, non-teaching staff, students, alumni, and external stakeholders, the CDC plays a key role in shaping policies, ensuring academic excellence, and fostering an environment conducive to holistic learning. Aligned with the guidelines of regulatory bodies, the committee actively participates in decision-making processes related to infrastructure enhancement, faculty development, student welfare, and institutional progress. Through collaborative efforts, the CDC aims to uphold the vision and mission of the college while continuously striving for educational innovation and excellence.

The College Development Committee (CDC) plays a crucial role in shaping the vision and development of the institution. It is responsible for planning, guiding, and overseeing various academic, administrative, and infrastructural activities to ensure the holistic growth of the college.

The key functions of the CDC are as follows:

  1. Policy Formation & Strategic Planning
  • Formulates development plans for the college concerning academics, administration, and infrastructure.
  • Recommends policies for the effective implementation of educational programmes.
  1. Academic & Administrative Oversight
  • Monitors the academic performance and quality of education.
  • Ensures adherence to university and government guidelines for academic programmes.
  • Recommends new courses, programs, and skill development initiatives.
  1. Infrastructure Development
  • Plans and supervises the development and maintenance of college infrastructure.
  • Proposes budgetary allocations for infrastructure improvement.
  1. Financial Planning & Resource Mobilization
  • Reviews and approves the annual budget of the college.
  • Assists in securing funds from government bodies, donors, and other sources.
  1. Student & Faculty Welfare
  • Implements policies for faculty development, research encouragement, and student welfare.
  • Ensures the availability of scholarships and financial aid for deserving students.
  1. Industry & Community Engagement
  • Establishes collaborations with industries, research institutions, and community organizations.
  • Encourages skill-based training, internships, and placement opportunities for students.
  1. Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensures the implementation of accreditation and quality assurance standards (NAAC, NBA, etc.).
  • Recommends best practices for continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
  1. Grievance Redressal & Ethical Governance
  • Addresses grievances of students, faculty, and staff to create a positive work environment.
  • Promotes ethical practices, transparency, and accountability in college governance.
  1. Annual Report & Review
  • Reviews and evaluates the overall performance of the college annually.
  • Submits reports on academic, administrative, and financial matters to relevant authorities.

The CDC works as a bridge between the management, faculty, students, and stakeholders to ensure the continuous growth and excellence of the institution.
