MAINTENANCE SYSTEM & POLICIES

We are committed to providing a well-maintained and safe environment that fosters academic excellence and holistic development. Our comprehensive Maintenance System and Policies are designed to ensure the effective upkeep and management of all campus facilities, including academic buildings, laboratories, libraries, sports complexes, and green spaces. By implementing a structured maintenance framework, we aim to enhance the longevity and functionality of our infrastructure, thereby creating an optimal setting for learning and growth. Our policies emphasize regular preventive maintenance, prompt repairs, and continuous monitoring to address any issues proactively. We also prioritize sustainability and energy efficiency in our maintenance practices, aligning with our commitment to environmental responsibility. Through these dedicated efforts, we strive to provide a campus experience that is both enriching and conducive to the success of our students, faculty, and staff.

Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in the presence of a green campus with eco-friendly initiatives such as rainwater harvesting, bore-well recharge, biogas plant, vermicomposting and wind-solar hybrid energy generation system. Our dedication to excellence is reflected in our continuous efforts to upgrade and enhance these facilities, ensuring complete academic and personal development for all students. Overall, the infrastructure at our college is designed to foster academic excellence, research innovation, and holistic development.

The objectives of our Maintenance System and Policies are:
  • Safety and Efficiency
  • Ensure all buildings and facilities operate safely and efficiently throughout their expected lifespans.
  • Preventive Maintenance:
  • Implement regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize disruptions and extend the longevity of infrastructure and equipment.
  • Resource Protection
  • Safeguard college assets through strategic planning, scheduling, and timely repairs.
  • Quality Management
  • Maintain high standards in all maintenance activities to support the institution’s educational mission.
  • Energy Conservation
  • Adopt energy-efficient practices and technologies to reduce consumption and promote sustainability.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Regularly assess and enhance maintenance procedures to align with evolving needs and technological advancements.
These objectives are designed to create a reliable and supportive infrastructure, fostering an optimal environment for education and growth.
Our dedicated maintenance system encompasses routine inspections, preventive measures, and prompt responses to any issues that arise on the ‘Maintenance Intimation System’. By adhering to a structured maintenance schedule, we ensure that all equipment and infrastructure function optimally, minimizing disruptions to academic activities. This commitment reflects our dedication to excellence and the well-being of our students, faculty, and staff.
The budgetary estimates and plan are called from the committees concerned and respective budgets are finalized in the meeting of the College Development Committee (CDC). The Principal, as the academic and administrative head of the institution, makes sure that the established systems and procedures for maintaining and utilizing physical, academic and support facilities are fully functional and operational through its different organs. The College Purchase Committee and the College Beautification/ Maintenance Committee play a vital role in this respect.

    Maintenance and utilization of facilities:
The institute has a maintenance procedure and practices in place to ensure regular and timely repairs of the physical and digital facilities. It includes:
    • Executing annual maintenance contracts (AMCs)
    • Reporting faults, damages, and operational malfunctioning
    • Keeping a register of wear and tear/ repairs/ operational problems detected
    • Hiring / engaging technicians
    • Monitoring and overriding committees for maintenance of repairs
    • Budgetary provision for maintaining the infrastructure
    • Training / orienting the staff with the facilities
    • Displaying general operational guidelines and minimum care and cautions.

We recognize that the upkeep of our campus facilities is fundamental to fostering an environment conducive to academic excellence and personal growth. Our comprehensive maintenance policies are designed to ensure that every building, classroom, and communal space reflects our commitment to safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. By implementing proactive maintenance strategies, we not only preserve the longevity of our infrastructure but also create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall educational experience. These policies are meticulously crafted to address routine upkeep, preventive measures, and prompt responses to unforeseen issues, thereby minimizing disruptions and promoting a seamless learning journey for our students and staff.
