programme outcomes (pos)
The Programme Outcomes (POs) of the B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. degree may be listed as follows:
- PO 1: Under the CBCS, the graduating batch of students, honours, would be eligible to pursue Postgraduate Courses of Studies.
- PO 2: Under the CBCS, undergraduate students would be able to choose courses according to their interests in the last two semesters. This would encourage academic flexibility and enable the students to look beyond the stereotypes of a particular Discipline.
- PO 3: Every Academic Programme under the CBCS will take care to make the students familiar with the existing trends in Research Methodology, and there will be a test in the form of preparation of a Dissertation / Assignment / Term Paper to instill some primary concepts of academic research among the undergraduate students.
- PO 4: The CBCS is expected to cater to the contemporary and up-to-date knowledge of the students.
- PO 5: The Interdisciplinary and contemporary approach of the CBCS will enhance the student’s access to the current job market.
- PO 6: The MCQ and Short Answer Type Question format and the contemporary approach of the syllabus under the CBCS will make the students more equipped to appear at All-India level Competitive Examinations for Banking, Civil and other services
Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
- PO 1: The students acquire knowledge in the field of social sciences, literature and humanities which makes them sensitive and sensible enough.
- PO 2: The B.A. graduates get acquainted with the social, economic, historical, geographical, political, ideological and philosophical traditions and thinking.
- PO 3: The programme empowers the graduates to appear for various competitive examinations and/or choose the post-graduate programme of their choice.
- PO 4: The B. A. programme enables students to acquire knowledge with human values framing the base to deal with various problems in life with courage and humanity.
- PO 5: The students are ignited enough to think and act on the solution of various issues that prevail in human life to make this world better than ever.
- PO 6: The Programme provides the base to promote active citizenship and community engagement, the ability to understand national development, awareness of issues and help participate in civic life.
- PO 7: Enhance the ability to analyze, synthesize and integrate knowledge, and develop the capability to evaluate the validity of arguments and conclusions.
- PO 8: Recognize the value system, moral dimensions and self-responsibility for the nation and the society.
- PO 9: Help to acquire the ability to engage in independent and lifelong learning in a broad context of socio-technological changes.
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)
- PO 1: The B. Com. Graduates can acquire fundamental knowledge and skills for doing business and commercial activities of their choice.
- PO 2: The programme empowered the graduates to appear for various competitive exams or choose a profession of their choice such as CA, CS, ICWA, MBA, or M.Com. etc.
- PO 3: The programme enabled the students to acquire accounting knowledge, management principles, retail trading, banking and insurance transactions, business economics and financial management.
- PO 4: The students acquired knowledge in the field of management accounting, corporate accounting, statistical and mathematical techniques and knowledge relating to corporate law and business laws.
- PO 5: The programme helped the graduates to pursue Post Graduate Studies like M.Com., MBA, MCA, ICWA, ISCI, etc.
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)
- PO 1: The B.Sc. programme helped to develop scientific temperament and attitude among the science graduates.
- PO 2: The qualities of science: observation, precision, analytical mind, logical thinking, clarity of thought and expression, systematic approach, qualitative and quantitative decision-making, are enlarged.
- PO 3: Empowered the graduates to appear for various competitive examinations and/or choose the post-graduate programme of their choice.
- PO 4: This programme trained the learners to extract information and formulate and solve problems systematically and logically.
- PO 5: This programme enabled the learners to perform jobs in diverse fields such as science, engineering, industries, survey, education, banking, development-planning, business, public service, self-business etc. efficiently.
- PO 6: Acquired knowledge of facts and figures related to various subjects in pure sciences such as Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, etc.
- PO 7: Analyzed the given scientific data critically and systematically and the ability to draw objective conclusions.
- PO 8: Realized the pursuit of knowledge is a lifelong activity and in combination with untiring efforts positive attitude and other necessary qualities leads towards a successful life.
Community College
- PO 1: The Community College students can acquire fundamental knowledge and skills for doing business and commercial activities of their choice. The Programme helped to develop commercial temperament and attitude among the students.
- PO 2: The students acquire knowledge in the field of Food Processing & Preservation as well as Beauty and Wellness which makes them sensitive and sensible enough.
- PO 3: This programme enabled the learners to perform jobs in diverse fields such as beauty parlours, education, hotels, dairy farming, bakery, confectionery, development-planning, business, self-business and health, hygiene & sanitation etc. efficiently.
- PO 4: The programme provides the base to promote active citizenship and community engagement, the ability to understand national development, awareness of issues and help participate in civic life.
- PO 5: Realized the pursuit of knowledge is a lifelong activity and in combination with untiring efforts positive attitude and other necessary qualities leads towards a successful life.
- PO 6: Help to acquire the ability to engage in independent, self-responsibility and lifelong learning in a broad context of business-minded thinking.
